There are 4 major ski areas in Bern; Adeboden-Lenk, Gstaad, Jungfrau and Haslital.  Each area offers it's own advantage and unique charm.

Adelboden- Lenk - Link to website

• Driving distance from Bern: 61 minutes     Train Time: 1h 27m

• In addition to the traditional ski school, there is also an Adrenalin School.  Lenk Schule lessons start at 198 for 2.5 hours.  They can be booked online at this link. Adrenalin Lessons start at 82CHF per hour and can be scheduled via email info@adrenalin.ch or by phone +41 33 733 37 33.

• Driving distance from Bern: 60 minutes     Train Time: 1h 22m

• There is some parking available at Zweisimmen, however the best place to park with the largest lot is Saaenmoser.  The distance between the two by car is about 8 minutes.  There is a train that connects the two, but it is not frequent so check the schedule before deciding which parking option is best for you. Parking is 5CHF per day. 

• There are many restaurant options on the mountain as well as a temporary igloo hotel and restaurant.  

• Any student attending ISBerne receives a 10% discount on additional lessons at Zweisimmen  (up to 4 students 170 CHF with discount).  Their Swiss Ski Book will be automatically updated in the digital system for their following Ski Friday class.  Regular lesson price is 190 for 2.5 hours and can include up to 4 students. Jungfrau - Link to website

                    Grindelwald - First, Grindelwald - Wegen, Murren-Schilthorn 

• Driving distance from Bern: 72 minutes       Train Time: 1h 41m

• Suggestions: park at the Grindelwald Terminal.  There is ample parking options for about 5CHF per day.  Getting to First from Terminal is accessible by a bus that connects the two lift areas.   

•  Lessons in the Terminal area (Jungfraubahn/Kleine Scheidegg) are about 190CHF for 2.5 hours.  Hansel if the owner of Skischule Mannlichen and can be reached at +41 79 415 88 53 to book lessons. He and his instructors speak English. 

•  In addition to the town of Grindelwald, there are also many other options of things to do in the area that are not skiing.  There is hiking, restaurants (with amazing food) as well as shopping.

Haslital -

• Driving distance from Bern: 66 minutes     Train Time: 2h 15m

• Ample parking for roughly 5CHF per day.  Parking to gondola is a bit of a hike, but once up at the top, it's worth it. 

• Lessons in the area of Haslital are 170CHF for 2 hours. Snow Sport Schule has many English speaking instructors and can be reached at +41 33 972 51 10.

• There is a nice restaurant near the gondolabahn.
